Thursday 1 December 2016

Well, I'm absolutely blown away.  I have received a RAK..........and a very special one.  Kim is celebrating her 60th by sending out 60 RAKs and I didn't for one moment believe I would be lucky enough to receive one......bit I did.  I feel a little guilty as I have been absent from my blog for a long time as my mojo has been hibernating.

I had tears of joy when I opened this it really cheered me up soo much I can't thank you enough Kim and we have Irish 🍀 links in our family too so you amazingly chose well.  Look what I received........

This fabric is sparkly too

I need a little box to put my rings and watch in at night on my dressing table, this is just perfect

There is a lovely Christmas chart too

I can feel my fingers starting to tingle

Thank you lovely lady xxx

I have wanted to stitch some of her designs for a long time and these just spoke to me, here are the first 6 in the series and she will be releasing 6 more.

The fabric I have bought is Zweigart 32 count Belfast Linen in Vintage Dune

Today I will be starting to stitch Alice, I have all my supplies ready

Ornament Finished

I found this really hard, messy and frustrating.  I'm going to have to look at other finishes, it almost drove me to tears but here it is.........I'm not really happy with it but it's ok.  Hubby liked it and says it has to go on the tree at Christmas., so that cheered me up.

Earlier this week I emailed Sharon over at Daffycat and asked if I could have all her freebie Reindeer patterns and she emailed them all to me.

Today I managed to finish my first one:

Tomorrow I'm going over to Hobby Craft in Eastbourne to get some bits to make it into a hanging ornie.  I have some supplies but need a few more.

I need a pause button!!

Life is just too busy.  It's end of the financial year so we are busy at work and we've had lots of family  visits, so I have not had much time to stitch, but I do have a couple of updates.

Not too much more to do on the one above, then I need to think about finishing and below I have managed to finish my second square.

Thank you for popping over to take a peek, have a wonderful Easter break.

It is by Emily Peacock you can find her wonderful patterns HERE

Sunday 21 February 2016

Would love to make one of these

It's called a Lotus Box, and I think they are so lovely.

I have made a biscornu similar to this  - photos below

Just picked up my needles after 4 years of gathering dust.  I have already got back into increasing my stash!!!! It doesn't take long to get back into old habits.

The above is a pattern All You Need Is Love  I have bought to make into a wedding gift for Bob's sons fiancée on their wedding day, I'm making it into an ornament on a ribbon so I can hand it to her on the day.  It's stitched on 40ct Newcastle White Linen.

This is Victoriana by Connie Gee, I'm stitching it smaller than the original as I would like to find a box I can make this into a box topper.  It is one of the loveliest charts I've worked on.
